Section 37
Voting process
: (1) The polling officer will give the designated ballot paper to the voters who are present for voting at the polling station.
(2) Before giving the ballot papers to the voters, the polling officer shall give the ballot papers as prescribed to the persons specified in the voter list.
(3) The voter shall cast his vote secretly by affixing the specified seal or mark on the ballot paper.
(4) When voting in accordance with this Act, the voter shall vote as many candidates as he/she is required to choose, in the ballot box as prescribed by affixing the seal or mark as per sub-section (3) in the room bearing the election symbol of the candidate he/she has chosen.
(5) Notwithstanding anything written elsewhere in this Act, in cases where electronic equipment is used for the purpose of voting, the voter shall vote by electronic equipment as prescribed.
